Summer 2020
Once a year in June, NN CDC Pensioenfonds sends you an overview (UPO) of your pension accrual. The UPO also shows how much pension your partner and children will receive if you pass away. If you're still employed by ING and building up a pension through its pension plan, the UPO also gives a forecast of how much pension you could expect to receive under favourable of adverse conditions. This gives you better insight into the risks of your pension.
You are a participant of a pension plan in which you bear the risks: your pension accrual, pension benefits and future indexations are not fixed in advance.
Pension forecast
In response to new regulatory requirements for pension administrators such as NN CDC Pensioenfonds, this year's Uniform Pension Overview (UPO) includes a new item: a forecast of your pension under favourable for adverse conditions. The forecast is based on your situation as at 31 December 2019 and is an estimate. Your UPO 2020 presents your pension in gross annual amounts as well as the corresponding retirement age.
Important note: The government’s website, www.mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl, also presents a forecast. However this is based on an estimate of your overall future pension benefits through all of your pension plans plus your Dutch state pension (AOW). The amounts in that website are based on the assumption that your retirement will start on the same date as your AOW and are shown in net monthly amounts.
Risk-based pension for surviving dependants
On 1 July 2019 a new pension plan came into effect, providing for a risk-based pension for surviving dependants. The UPO shows what your surviving dependants will receive if you pass away while you are employed. Information on what will happen if you leave the company or retire is available on the website.
What can you do?
After having reviewed your UPO, you might want to do something about your pension. Actions you could take:
