Can NN CDC Pensioenfonds pay out my pension as a lump sum?

Say you're a former employee of Delta Lloyd and you’ve been a participant of NN CDC Pensioenfonds since 1 January 2020. You want to retire this year and have both pensions start paying out. Your pension accrual in NN CDC Pensioenfonds is only very small – can you have it paid out as a lump sum?

You're almost there – after a long career, you want to retire this year. But first you want to make sure everything is in order. You built up a pension in Delta Lloyd Pensioenfonds for many years, and only very briefly in NN CDC Pensioenfonds. You'd prefer to have this small pension paid out as a one-off lump sum.

Commutation lump sum
If your pension benefits will be less than € 497 (2020) gross per year, the pension fund can pay out your pension as a one-off lump sum via your bank account, if you agree. This is called commutation of pension. We will inform you ahead of time. After the lump sum payment, you will no longer have a pension in NN CDC Pensioenfonds.

Steps towards payment

Starting date
Make sure you report the starting date of your retirement to the pension fund well ahead of time. Please use the form ‘Retirement starting date’. Complete the form and send it to the Pension Desk. Don’t forget to have you manager co-sign the form!

Check the amount
To find out if your pension will pay out less than € 497 (2020) gross per year, go to My Pension (log in with your DigiD) or contact the Pension Desk.

Your bank account details
About three months before your retirement is due to start, we’ll send you a form for your bank account details, so we can pay out the commuted amount to the account of your choice.

We will then send you a message to confirm the commutation of your pension.
