NN CDC Pensioenfonds’ supervisory board currently has a vacancy in its employees’ delegation. Would you be interested in taking an active role in your pension fund and do you have the required knowledge, experience and competencies? If so, you have until 7 September 2018 to put yourself forward as a candidate.

NN CDC Pensioenfonds administers the pension plan of NN Group’s current and former employees and pensioners in the Netherlands. The pension fund has a supervisory board that reviews the contents of the fund’s policies and its policy execution. The supervisory board also has the right to advise on issues including pension contributions and the pension fund's remuneration policy. 

What competencies is the supervisory board looking for?

How do you put yourself forward as a candidate?
If you’re interested in the position and believe you meet the requirements of the competency vision, you have until 7 September 2018 to put yourself forward as a candidate. Bear in mind the following:

Double positions are not allowed
Being a member of the supervisory board means you cannot at the same time hold a position in any of the pension fund's other organs.

Term of office
The term of office for supervisory board members is four years. Members can be reappointed once only. 

Diversity
In addition to professional knowledge and experience in the field of pension funds, the supervisory board highly values diversity. The supervisory board wants to be a reflection of the pension fund’s participants, as this ensures multiple opinions are represented and decisions are more inclusive. The supervisory board therefore encourages people from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and with different types of skills, to take part in the elections.

Time needed
The expected amount of time needed to fulfil this position is approximately four hours a week. You must demonstrate that you have or will be able to make this amount of time available. 

Remuneration
All current and future members of the supervisory board are employed by NN Group. You will not receive any remuneration for your efforts, as your duties as a member of the supervisory board will basically be fulfilled during working hours. Your employer will grant you the time needed to fulfil these duties.

Next steps in the procedure
Your response will be treated with confidentiality. A conversation with the election committee may be included in the procedures. If you meet all required competencies, your name will be added to the list of candidates. 

Elections
If there is only one candidate, he/she will automatically be appointed the new member of the supervisory board. In the event of multiple candidates, the pension fund will hold elections, which will probably take place in late September 2018.
