This joint initiative of the pension funds and the employers NN Group and ING has succesfully triggered young employees' interest in pension and taking an active role in one of the pension funds. The Academy also won the 2018 Pension Pro Innovation Award for its innovative approach. Not bad for a first edition!
Exactly one year ago, the campaign to recruit young people for the Pension Fund Academy was started. There were more applicants than places available, and young employees are still submitting applications to this day.
Bridge
The Pension Fund Academy has proven to be the ideal place for young employees who wish to develop their skills, learn about pension and build a pension-related network. It serves as a bridge between potential interest in pension, an actual pension learning programme and a possible future role at a pension fund.

Innovation Award for 2018
The Pension Fund Academy has won the 2018 Pension Pro Innovation Award. The jury commended the initiative as ‘an innovative approach that is more effective than the tools put forward in this category’. The Award has spotlighted the pension funds and the employers of NN Group and ING as thought leaders in innovation.
